Iris in Infrared 1

I tried out my Hoya R72 (Infrared) filter again today and I think the photos came out decent; to see the others head on over to my flickr account by clicking the photo.

It's grainy because of the high ISO; I set my camera at 1600 so I could hand hold my camera instead of having to setup my tripod for the few shots I wanted to take. This shot was over-exposed 6 stops and still invisible to me until I put the photo into Picasa and turned it black & white and set the auto contrast to get what we see now.

I will definitely do more experimenting with the R72 soon.

Postcard #5

My first postcard from Brazil? This card was sent from Spain by a member from Brazil which is why I was a little confused when I got the card. :) This could also be my first card from Spain.

This was an interesting postcard to get; sent from Madrid, Spain but the postcard code was form Brazil! The member who sent the card is from Brazil but was working in Spain which is why I got my first card from Brazil from Spain. :-o

This card had postage paid by meter and not a stamp.

The stamps for postcard #4. To my surprise my 3rd postcard from Germany and I still get a new German stamp. There must be a flower series of stamps in Germany.

My third postcard from Germany

This postcard is my forth received and 3rd from Germany; yes, three postcards in a row from Germany, I'm on a roll. :)

It's a nice travel card with scenes from Grube von der Nordsee; if you squint and look closely you'll notice the woman in the beach chair has no top on. I didn't even notice until I scanned the card and saw it on my computer screen.

The stamps for Postcard #3; it was such a great surprise to get 3 stamps and that these stamps were different than the stamp on card #2 which was also from Germany.

Postcard #3

I got this card from Germany yesterday; the sender translates the text as "Sometimes things just go queer!"

This is my third postcard received and second from Germany. I love this photo of the zig zagging tree; it reminds me of palm trees that have fallen over but continue to grow and curve back up.

The postcard's sender translates the text as "Sometimes things just go queer!"

About a month ago I mentioned that I started Postcrossing and I'm still doing and love checking the mail everyday for a new postcard. I figure since I have not been shooting many photos lately it would be great to post the cards and stamps I get here to share. My first was already posted in that original message so to continue here are the stamps that went with card #1. 3 stamps from Sweden.
